ASD bypass harness takes the ASD module inputs/iDrive outputs and bypasses them into the HiFi(676)/OEM amp inputs. For the MOST/digital JBL OEM amp, the bypass harness simply makes the ASD module to not output any signal. Therefore, no ASD outputs are mixed with the OEM audio system. ASD module is still operational and visible to the dealer computer so all OEM car software updates can be performed without ASD errors.
ASD Bypass harness installs in between the ASD module and the OEM harness. The ASD module is not the OEM amp -two different modules.
